What is the Thames Valley Communication Access Program (TVCAP)?

Through group therapy, education and training, the Thames Valley Communication Access Program will aim to assist adults with a variety of communication impairments reach their goals of optimizing their communication and learn to communicate in new ways to foster independence. The TVCAP aims to enhance the capabilities of people with communication impairments and their families. The TVCAP aims to provide advocacy, education, and training to promote communicative accessibility within the community.

To empower adults with acquired communication impairments by providing accessible and effective communication services through group therapy.

Offering programs that allow individuals in rural and urban settings to access cost-effective communication services in an environment that fosters connection, joy, peer and social support.

How TVCAP Can Help

Speaking

Improve ability to make speech sounds, find words, organize thoughts and remember what to say. Find alternative ways to express the information when speaking is difficult.

Understanding Language

Improve ability to understand and remember what is being said. Find alternative ways to receive information when listening is hard.

Reading

Understand written information (e.g., emails, text messages, social media posts, books, newspapers, magazines, etc.) Find alternative ways to receive information when reading is challenging.

Writing

Express ideas in writing or typing (e.g., emails, text messages, social media posts, blogs, letters, filling out forms, essays. etc). Find alternative ways to express information when writing or typing is strenuous.

Natalie Kuzmanovich

Speech-Language Pathologist

With over 15 years of experience, Natalie has helped individuals of all ages achieve their goals. Born and raised in London, Ontario, her passion lies in making an impact within her community, approaching her practice with warmth and compassion. Natalie’s expansive skillset and experience in private, community, and hospital care settings has given her the knowledge to help those with speech, language, communication, and swallowing goals.

Crystal Branco

Speech-Language Pathologist

Crystal started working as a speech-language pathologist in 2008; however, she has been working with individuals with communication and swallowing impairments since high school. Crystal has always been passionate about getting to know and helping others. She loves integrating technology and creative solutions into her practice to enhance outcomes for her clients.

The TVCAP is governed by a board of directors as per the Not for Profit Corporations Act of the Government of Ontario.
